My name is Poliana.
But you can call me Poli.
I am Brazilian, a mother of four, passionate about Italian cuisine, being with people, and learning their stories.
I take life lightly, I love sharing what I know and bringing people together around the table.

My name is Poliana.
But you can call me Poli.
I am Brazilian, a mother of four, and passionate about Italian cuisine, especially being with the...
people and learn about their stories.
I take life lightly, I love sharing what I know and bringing people together around the table.

My roots are Italian, and that has always been part of my story.
My paternal ancestors came
of southern Italy, from Polignano to Mare.
My maternal grandmother is from the north-central region of the country. I grew up surrounded by family recipes, orecchiettes, and cannelloni.

At age 20, I spent months in the country immersing myself in the language and taking cooking courses. It was there that I understood, in practice, that cooking isn't just about technique, it's about companionship and connection.
All of this shaped my perspective, but
especially Poli as a person.

My roots are Italian, and that has always been part of my story.
My father’s ancestors came from Polignano a Mare, in southern Italy, while my maternal grandmother’s family came from Veneto, in the north of the country. So I can say I grew up between orecchiette and cannelloni.

From an early age, I loved being in the kitchen with my grandmothers, following their recipes and getting hands-on with the cooking. To this day, those family recipes are still the ones I love preparing the most.

When I was 20, I spent some time in Florence, studying Italian and taking cooking classes. It was there that I came to understand even more deeply how, in Italian culture, cooking together is a way of creating bonds, sharing stories, and building memories that last a lifetime.

My education
I have a degree in Law and a postgraduate degree in Marketing from NYU. For over 15 years, I have worked in the food import and export industry, a journey that has given me the opportunity to discover ingredients, producers, and culinary traditions from different parts of the world.

Today, alongside my professional career, I dedicate myself to @poli.cucina, a project where I bring together my professional experience and my great passion for food and gastronomy.
In addition to creating content, I organize events and culinary experiences for brands, companies, and groups, creating meaningful gatherings centered around cooking, good food, and, above all, people.
